SRINAGAR: Residents of Gudsathu, Budgam, in Central Kashmir Tuesday alleged said that faulty and damaged wires of the landlines have shut many lines causing enormous hardships to the subscribers.
“Despite our repeated pleas to the BSNL Exchange, Chadoora nothing has been done to restore our landlines,” said a subscriber, Mohammadd Ishaq Bhat. “Our lines have been severed for the past few months and the department is simply sleeping over the matter.”
Many subscribers said that people brought the problem of poor connectivity and damaged telephone lines into the notice of BSNL authorities but no action was taken to provide relief to its subscribers.
They alleged that due to poor landline, mobile and internet services of the BSNL, people are suffering.
“We are suffering huge losses due to careless attitude of BSNL authorities,” Bhat said.
Meanwhile, in wake of current unrest in Valley, Many of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) subscribers are aghast over the over charges on their connection of company in district Kupwara from last few months.
BSNL Kupwara is charging installation and security every time customer goes to CCS (Customer Care Service) for their bill settlement.
Broadband subscribers of Government of India owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) in Kupwara expressed strong resentment against what they termed “unjust” action by BSNL Company.
BSNL is the only telecom service provider which charges installation and security from a customer fifth time until they have not accepted the bill from customer.
Attempts to reach the General Manager BSNL did not materialize.
