SKUAST quarter, shopping complex set ablaze

Ganderbal: A quarter in SKUAST campus, Shuhama Alastaing was set ablaze by unknown people last night. The fire damaged some furniture and other items kept in the quarter. The locals along with SKUAST employees and firemen doused off the fire and prevented it from spreading to other buildings. Police registered the case and started investigation.

Meanwhile, a stocks store and a godown situated in the second storey of the Hakeem shopping complex in Beehama near Kangan stop was set ablazed at around 7:30 pm on Thursday.

The fire was brought under control by the fire tenders but wholesale goods worth ten lakh rupees were damaged in the fire. Police has taken cognizance of the case. (PTK)
