Makkah: Pakistan Prime Minister's Adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz has urged the Muslim Ummah to continue their support to the ‘‘oppressed people of Kashmir,’’Radio Pakistan reported.
He was speaking at the Emergency Session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Makkah on Thursday.
The Adviser highlighted '‘Indian brutalities in the Kashmir against innocent and defenceless civilians peacefully protesting and struggling for the realization of their right to self-determination”.
The Turkish delegation, in its statement, also drew attention to the growing tensions in South Asia due to the Kashmir dispute and called upon OIC to send a fact finding mission to Kashmir.
The delegation called upon India to allow this Mission to visit Kashmir to verify the “human rights violations’’
