Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chief Yasin Malik was arrested in Srinagar on Thursday, said a party spokesman.
He said a police party raided the residence of Malik in Maisuma and arrested him.
Malik was released from the central jail here after nearly four months of detention on Oct 29.
Meanwhile, Hurriyat (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq was placed under house arrest on Thursday.
A spokesman said that a posse of policemen arrived at the residence of Mirwaiz in Nigeen area of Srinagar and asked him to stay indoors.
The police action comes on the eve of a proposed march to Jamia Masjid called by the separatist leadership. (CNS)
