Srinagar: Lakes and Waterways Development Authority has demoslished 354 illegal structures and have lodged 425 FIR’s against the violators who were involved in raising illegal structures in Green Belt area this year.
Enforcement Officer LAWDA Suhail Reshi told news agency CNS that 56 vehicles carrying illegal construction material were seized and formal cases were registered against the owners and drivers of those vehicles.
“People residing in the Green Belt are hereby directed that they should not go for any illegal construction. Strict action under law will be taken against them besides the illegal structures on which they spend heft amounts will be raised to ground without any delay,” he said adding that all the unscrupulous elements creating hurdles during demolition of illegal constructions will be dealt under law.
Meanwhile, the enforcement wing of LAWDA demolished four illegal structures on Wednesday at Harwan area of Srinagar city. (CNS)
