Day 115: Clashes In Shopian Village After Forces Raid Hurriyat Leader’s Residence

Shopian: Clashes erupted in a Muloo village in South Kashmir's Shopian district  after government forces raided the residence of a Tehreek-e-Hurriyat (TeH) leader on Monday.

According to sources, forces raided the house of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat district president Muhammad Yousuf Falahi to arrest him.

Falahi is evading arrest since July this year despite several police raids.He is accused of leading pro-freedom rallies and protest marches.

As soon as the forces party started raiding Fallahi’s residence, locals came out of their homes and started protesting .

Forces resorted to tear smoke shelling to disperse the protesters resulting in clashes.
