SRINAGAR: A private school was set ablaze in South Kashmir’s Islamabad district on late Friday evening.
Local sources said that unknown persons set ablaze Iqra English Medium School which is located at Naik Mohalla Budgund in Verinag.
“The fire started around 8:30 pm,” sources said. “The school building was constructed mostly of wood which was completely destroyed.” It was Middle-level run school.
Meanwhile, reports said that an attempt was made to set ablaze a building in New Market Mattan in Anantnag district this evening.
“The building houses a J&K Bank business unit,” sources said.”Fire fighters rushed and saved the building from being burnt completely.”
