Srinagar: Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum Tuesday alleged that Government is not allowing any employee or even the relatives to meet the incarcerated employee’s leaders in Baramulla and Kupwara Jails.
The Forum Provincial President Muhammad Afzal told news agency CNS that it is irony that employees are not being allowed to meet their ailing leader Abdul Qayoom Wani and his other colleagues in the twin jails of North Kashmir.
“It was a unilateral decision on part of the government to terminate lower rung employees. We will fight legally and will force the government to reinstate the terminated employees,” he said and condemned the night raids on the employees leaders across Kashmir.
The Forum added that the health of EJAC president Abdul Qayoom Wani has deteriorated and he needs medical treatment.
Pertinently, government has arrested six employees leaders including president EJAC Abdul Qayoom Wani, Farooq Ahmed Trali (Agriculture), Ajaz Ahmed Khan (CAPD), Sajad Ahmed Parray (PHE) and Fayaz Ahmed Shabnam from Handicrafts department. (CNS)
