Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik has been referred to SKIMS Soura for advanced treatment by the team of medicos of Khyber Hospital here.
Hours after protests were held at Maisuma, demanding medical aid for incarcerated Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chief Yasin Malik, the incarnated leader was shifted to Khyber hospital on Saturday evening.
Sources told KNS that the health conditions of Malik was observed by a team of medicos in a private hospital.
“He undergone under various tests in this hospital. One of hazardous infection has infected his arm. He was advised by doctors to undergo a surgery. He was referred to SKIMS Soura,” said sources.
Pertinently, incarnated JKLF chief Malik is ailing from several weeks. His family alleged that he is being denied medical treatment.

Malik’s condition not stable: Family
Family members of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik Saturday said that health conditions of Malik is deteriorating in Srinagar central jail.
They accused authorities of denying medical aid to Malik.
“We met Malik today at 1pm in Srinagar central jail. First he refused to meet. After we send repeated requests, he was brought by several persons on their shoulders to have a meeting with us,” family members told KNS.
They added that Malik was able to weak or sit properly as in absence of medical aid his health conditions have deteriorated.
“We are not demanding his release. He is a public leader, but medical aid must be provided to him without any further delay. He has undergone under various surgeries in past. He is need of several medicines and medical aid,” they said.
They added that the health of Malik would further deteriorate in case he is denied medical treatment further. Pertinently, incarnated JKLF chief Malik is ailing from several weeks. His family alleged that he is being denied medical treatment.
Geelani Prays for Malik’s Recovery
All Parties Hurriyat Conference chairperson Syed Ali Geelani prayed for fast recovery of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik.
Geelani said that Malik is one of important political leaders and the “nation needs him for long”.
“I pray for the immediate recovery of Malik and wish him a long life. I also express sympathy with his family. Malik is one of the tall leaders and the nation needs him for long,” said Geelani.
He added that Malik has always played an important role as a consistent leader and made efforts to bring the on-going movement to its logical conclusions.
“I have received reports that Malik is ailing and is in need of immediate medical check-ups and observation of medicos. However, authorities have shifted him to central jail from the hospital. It is the height of arrogance, repression and dictatorship,” he added.
