Srinagar: Raw hands running the affairs of the planning at Agriculture Directorate Kashmir are allotting funds disproportionately and Deputy Director planning posted after six years has gone on long leave only to give raw hands a license to continue the practice of disproportionate allotment of funds.
Authoritative sources told KNS that the planning officials not drawn from the planning department but from the agriculture directorate Kashmir have disproportionately allotted huge funds to district Budgam comprising four sub divisions and district Ganderbal comprising two sub divisions and interestingly comparatively very lesser funds have been allotted to bigger districts like Anantnag. The authorities have not only rendered planning department defunct but presently the accounts officer of the other department is looking after the accounts wing of the agriculture directorate.
Financial commissioner agriculture Promod Jain when contacted said “I have joined only three days back but will surely ask director agriculture Kashmir to look into the matter and take appropriate actions to restore the working of both the planning and as well as accounts wings of the agriculture directorate of Srinagar.
