When I was a kid, my movement was restricted to my neighbourhood, playing with my pals and for that reasonI perceived this world as a playground inhabited bya few people. I was at peace every minute of my life. As I grew up, perceptions of the world totally changed for me. Nay there wasn’t only me, my friends and acquaintances but there were 7 billion people living in every nook and corner of the earth who cherished different languages, diverse cultures, lifestyles and multiple religions. I found difference in standards, some people living in cozypalaces while some don’t have even a roof over their head. Some relish splendidmeals while some crave for leftover foods. Some possess love and warmth of their families and friends while some unfortunate people utterly lack this. I appreciated this diverse architect of nature but sometimes felt myopic what I was praising and found a room to complain the pathetic plight of people who don’t get enough resources and were in no way happy with their lives. I could now understand that the pyramid of peace was upside down. As I continued, thinking and observing keenly, my own ideas contrasted, there were collisions and under such circumstances I got into chaos. What indulged my mind into this chaos!
There is no one denying the fact that the world has gone through its best and the worst of times but whosoever will ponder about the current happenings of the world, I am sure tears will trickle endlessly and even can make one hysterical. It will even move the cruelest. The essence of Being Human has been lost. Instead of peace talks, terrorism and lethal weapons are the only things that our leaders talk about. We attack each other like beasts and find no way to get out of the worst situation. Bloodshed has become order of the day and is seen spilling on roads.I don’t think God created this world with such a bad intention and for such inhuman acts. In this chaos and confusion, the hope for a serene future hasn’t faded away. I believe that a world of tolerance is still possible.
The world is out of order. Strange things with strange motives are happening. It seems that cold blood has been injected into the generation of Homo sapiens.Comforts of real life have perishedand the world is at the verge of extinction. The sort of weapons that the powerful countries of the world possess can convert world into ashes in a minute of time. The greed for more and more resources indulged countries into proxy wars and startedthis “kill” phenomenon. Countries tried to defeat one another to get hand over more resources. This has converted world into a place not for living but into a battle field.
The politics of hate and defeat divides us. We all tend to become hate and trouble mongers.Humanity is travelling a dead-end-street.The extent of politics of hate and divide is such that we tend to condole and regret the demise of one person and even march in solidarity while we rejoice the demise of another. For one reason we talk to fight the terrorism with might and for another reason that serves our purpose we remain mute spectators. In this environment we tend to become double standard.
One is baffled by the reasons as to why humans kill each other and destroy the very essence of living. Greed for more wealth and resources and the materialism that some countries relish has created such an emergency type situation in the world. There is no doubt that all countries must be making plans to secure their countries by launching missiles and making counter infiltration and counter intelligence grid more strong. But simultaneously, there is an urgent need that we appreciate diversity, refrain from evil designs, and respect all forms of life. There is a need to take steps at our individual level to fight evil designs. We cannot build a utopian society on this earth but that there is always a room for perfection. You, me and all the men and women of good will have duty to defend this world from sinking and restore peace and tranquility. I am sure if all good people will use their energy in the right direction then no one will ever think of crimes. The world will surely be a peaceful place to live in.This can be achieved only when everyoneshuns ego, behaves like a well- versed human and stops acting like breaches of trust. The grading of humans as poor and rich needs to be done away with. All the people irrespective of their race, color, caste, creed, language, religion or gender have equal stake in life. Equality is the most important thing that will determine the future of our world. I think that improving dignity of individuals brings happiness. The lust has dragged humans to a level from where recovery is painful. Life is a race best describes the present situation.
For we don’t have another planet to pack our luggage and go on, so what time demands us is that we join our hands, look for peace and become the makers of constructive rather than a destructive globe.
