Srinagar: Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has directed Traffic Police to immediately stop brisk frisking of the people at check points in Srinagar and elsewhere in Kashmir Valley.
Top sources while disclosing this to KNS, revealed that taking cognizance of the brisk frisking by traffic Police at some check points the Chief Minister issued strict directions to traffic Police to stop frisking of people at all check points in Srinagar and other parts of Kashmir Valley till the conclusion of forth coming Eid-ul-Azha.
A top traffic police official while confirming the government has issued strict instructions to stop the frisking of vehicles told KNS “though traffic Police won’t stop vehicles for frisking and challan them for violation of traffic rules till Eid-ul-Azha but traffic police at the same time will ensure the regulation of traffic on the roads”.
