Srinagar: Continuing its demolition drive, the Lakes and Waterways Development Authority (LAWDA) today removed four illegal structures at Brein Nishat and Lashkari Mohalla on Northern Foreshore Road.
According to a statement issued by Enforcement Officer LAWDA, the demolition team was accompanied by the police personnel from Police Station Nishat. It said as some persons tried to create hurdles in the demolition drive and an FIR stands registered in the Police Station Nishat against these “unscrupulous elements.”
Meanwhile, the Enforcement Officer of the LAWDA has warned people against raising any illegal constructions in the prohibited area around Dal and Nageen lakes. The Officer has also warned the tipper and load carrier owners against carrying any construction material in the prohibited areas around these lakes.
The Enforcement Officer has also cautioned the people against creating any hurdles during the demolition of illegal structures in the area. (CNS)
