B-Tech student hit by pellets in eyes

Anantnag: Police and CRPF resorted to pellet firing on a protest in this South Kashmir's principal town Sunday injuring at least two youth.

Government forces resorted to force, firing their shotguns at a group of protesting youth in Mominabad locality Sunday afternoon, reports said.

A 21-year-old B.Tech student was hit in both eyes and chest, eyewitnesses said.

“His eyes are in bad condition and pellet has hit in the retina of his left eye,” doctors at District hospital said adding the patient has been refered to Srinagar.

Another youth has been hit in arm and is under treatment at the District hospital, they said.
