Police foil pro-freedom procession in Budgam

Budgam: Police Friday foiled the pro-freedom procession led by senior Hurriyat leader and president Anjuman Sharie Shiayan Aga Syed Hasan Almosvi Alsafvi in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district and detained him along with his associates.

In a statement, the party said that as per resistance leadership call, a procession was taken out to proceed towards Jamia Masjid Srinagar, however, police swung into action and detained Aga Syed Hasan and his associates.

Before his arrest Aga Syed Hasan appealed people to follow the program of resistance leadership in letter and spirit. He said that they will not budge even an inch this time as “we have already sacrificed nearly 50 people.”

He said that it is high time for India to accept Kashmir as a dispute and start the process of its resolution. He added that Kashmir is a dispute and India must address this issue as per the wishes and aspirations of people of Kashmir.
