Veteran Congressman and former Sadr-i-Riyasat of Jammu and Kashmir Dr Karan Singh Monday urged New Delhi to hold dialogue with Hurriyat leadership of Kashmir.
While terming the pellet-blinding of Kashmiris unfortunate, Dr Singh said: The Government should order a probe into disproportionate use of force on the protesters.
The ex-Sadri-riyasat was speaking during the ongoing Monsoon session in Rajya Sabhawhich held a special debate on Kashmir unrest today. Earlier, Singhs Congress colleague and his partys Rajya Sabha leader Ghulam Nabi Azad grilled Modi government over its Kashmir handling.
Expressing his anguish over the state of affairs in valley, Dr Singh said: Its terrible, newspapers are not coming out and curfew has remained in force for the past 10-days.
