Srinagar: According to the State Government 3022 Daily Wagers are yet to be regularized in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Finance Minister in response to a question raised by PDP legislator from Baramullah Javaid Hussain Beigh said that under SRO 64 of 1994, there were 60249 Daily Rated Workers working in the departments across the State. Out of these, 59904 were registered with the Finance Department against which 57227 have been regularized up to ending April 2016.
The Minister for Finance according to news agency CNS said that policy for regularization of Daily Rated Workers engaged prior to imposition of ban (31/1/1994) is already in place. The Empowered Committee revived vide Government Order number 139F of 2015 dated 19/8/2015 is meeting on regular intervals and will continue to meet till last one of Daily Rated Worker registered and eligible is cleared for regularization.
