Stone Pelting: ‘119 youth arrested in Palhalan Since 2008’

The Government Tuesday said that 119 youth from north Kashmir’s Palhallan were arrested on charges of stone pelting in the last nine years.
Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, who also holds Home Ministry portfolio in a written reply to PDP MLA from Zadibal, Abid Hussain Ansari, said that no person has been arrested “unwarrantedly” in the state and in Palhallan area.
“From 2008 up to 18-05-2016, 119 youth involved in stone pelting incidents in Palhallan area have been arrested and all of them have been bailed out,” the CM said.
