Srinagar: Powered by Mir Auqibs 32-ball 70 and Mir Imrans record fifty Bijbehara Sports Club beat Nagbal Sports by 20 runs in the league fixture of Late GM Gilkar Memorial Cricket Tournament played at Sports Stadium Nanil on Wednesday.
Auqib was blistering mood hitting shots all around the ground while Imran made the fastest fifty of the tourney taking just 17 balls as BSC posted a mammoth 196 on the board in the allotted 20 overs.
Auqib then returned with the ball taking two wickets to help his side restrict Nagbal Sports to 176. Faisal was the mainstay during the valiant chase making 91 off just 49 but his effort failed to yield win for his side.
Auqib walked away with the man of the match award.
The second fixture of the day was played between Central Sports Pattan and Bright Star Pampore at Higher Secondary School Ground Bijbehera which the former won by close margin of 13 runs.
Batting first Central Sports Pattan scored a solid 154 in the allotted 20 overs thanks to Tashook Sheikhs 53-ball 65 and a 23-ball 28 from the Showkat.
Bright Star Pampore failed to chase the target falling short by 13 runs. Manzoor was the main scorer with 45 off 41 balls.
Tashook Shiekh was declared man of the match for his match winnings knock.
The tournament is being organised by Bijbehara Cricket Organisation.
