SC Bandipora edge past FC Ganderbal in penalty shootout

SRINAGAR: Sports Club Bandipora beat FC Ganderbal in a tie-break finish in Mushatq Memroial Football tournament played at sports ground Hajin on Tuesday.

In the first half of the both teams played excellent football but it was FC Ganderbal that drew the first blood when striker Imtiyaz Ahmad found the net in the 17th minute. But Sports Club Ganderbal were quick to respond with Rameez Ahmad scoring an equalizer to have teams locket at 1-1 at the half time. 

 In the second half both teams tried their best to take the  lead but failed to find the net. And, when the final whistle blew up scoreline was 1-1 forcing a penalty shootout in which SC Bandipora edged past FC Ganderbal 5-3 to win the game.
