Srinagar: A week-long provincial level Volleyball tournament concluded at S.K. Sports Stadium Bandipora on Tuesday, according to a statement issued by governments information department.
The statement added that around 465 players from 39 different teams participated in the tournament.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Bandipora was the chief guest at presentation ceremony handing over trophies to the winners and runners-up teams.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that special attention is being given to promote sports activities in the district. He said that a number of stadiums and playing fields are being developed to facilitate youth, so that they can expose their talent and participate in State and National events.
District Youth Services and Sports Officer Bandipora, other concerned officials, students and a good number of sports lovers were present on the occasion.
