PDP kick starts mass contact programe from Amirakadal


Srinagar: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today kick started its mass contact programme and the first meeting in this regard was held at Peerbagh Hyderpora in Amirakadal constituency.

The meeting was attended and addressed by party general secretary Nizam-u-Din Bhat, Honb’le MLC and party district president Srinagar Khurshid Alam, Honb’le MLA (nominated) Anjum Fazili, Honb’le MLA Batmaloo Noor Mohammad Shiekh and other senior leaders of the party.

In his address the party general secretary Nizam-u-Din Bhat said that it was on the directions of the party president and Honb’le Chief Minister Ms. Mehbooba Mufti that the party has started the mass contact programme. He underscored the objectives set for the mass contact programme saying that the party will put in all efforts to reach out to the people and address their problems.

He said the PDP was formed to work tirelessly to have the vision and ideas of late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed implemented on the ground. “PDP has proved to be a practicable and efficient political alternative in Jammu and Kashmir and the targets set by it will usher in a new era of peace and prosperity in the state,” Bhat observed. 

Earlier the zone president Mohammad Ashraf Dar informed the party leaders about functioning of the party in Amirakadal constituency and hailed the new party structure that has come up under the leadership of Ms Mehbooba Mufti. (CNS)
