Youth Services organises Girls Cross Country Run

 SRINAGAR |Apr 20:Youth Services and Sports Department Srinagar Wednesday organized Girls cross country run from SKICC Gate to Nishat Garden. The race was flagged off by Himayun Kaiser, Director Radio Kashmir Srinagar.
1160 girls of 88 schools from both government and private participated in the race. The closing ceremony was held at Nishat Garden. Later the medals were distributed among students by SDM Srinagar Mohammad Haneef Balti.The position holders were awarded with certificates and medals and were selected for forthcoming Divisional level competition which is scheduled to be held on 30th April 2016 in Srinagar.

In U-14 Girls category Gold, Silver & Bronze medals were won by Benazir Fatima of BHS Nandpora, Umaira of Dr AGM’s School and Moomina of Doon international School.  In the U-17 category Gold, Silver and Bronze medals were won by Diya Kaisar of Green Valley, Asra Mushtaq of Scotland School and Rahi of saint Solomon School. In the U-19 category Gold ,Silver & Bronze medals were won by Sumaira Mehraj of BHSS Shalimar,Mariya Mehraj of GHSS Nishat  and Khushnuma Rashid of HSS Khimber.
