JAMMU:-Minister for Forests, Ecology and Environment Choudhary Lal Singh today convened an introductory meet with the officers of forest department and took a comprehensive review of the functioning of the department.
Principal Secretary Forest Department, Rakesh Kumar Gupta, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, A K Singh, Chief Conservator of Forests, Jammu Roshan Jaggi, Chief Conservator of Forests, Kashmir Nissar Darzi, Managing Director State Forest Corporation, Arun Tickoo, Director Soil Conservation, J&K Ravi Kesar, Director Social Forestry, J&K Suresh Chugh, Director Forest Protection Force Suresh Gupta, Chairman Pollution Control Board Abdul Razaq Khan, Chief Wild Life Warden Deepak Khanna besides other senior officers of Forest Department were present in the meeting.
The Minister stressed on improving the delivery mechanism in the department by adopting innovative initiatives and asked the concerned officers to conduct frequent field visits to take stock of the functioning of the subordinate units.
