As the decks have been cleared for the government formations in the state, BJP is holding a legislative party meeting in Jammu tomorrow to nominate deputy chief ministerial candidate.
The BJP meeting will be presided by Sat Sharma, and will be attended by national general secretary Ram Madhav, and Jitendra Singh, MoS in Prime Minister Narendra Modis office.
Meanwhile, sources said that PDP president Mehbooba Mufti will flew to Jammu along with senior party leaders and MPs, Tariq Hameed Karra and Muzaffar Hussain Baig, to meet Governor N N Vohra to fix the date of her swearing-in as the first woman chief minister of the state.
The meeting with Governor was fixed at 3.pm but sources said that PDP has requested N N Vohra to reschedule the meeting at 5.pm.
BJP president Sat Sharma will also meet Vohra after the latter invited him for government formation on Wednesday.
To set in motion for the government formation, PDP representatives will be meeting their alliance partner representatives, where Ram Madhav will be present, to discuss modalities of government formation.
Sources said that the alliance partners will hold talks on distribution of portfolios to the prospective ministers and other matters of the coalition government.
