Anantnag: Spontaneous shutdown was observed here in South Kashmirs Anantnag district after the mysterious disappearance of a four year old kid.
Reports said that a family from Aishmuqam had arrived in Baibugh Pehroo area of the district for a visit to their relatives on Tuesday. Shortly after their arrival in the village their four year old kid Ayaan Hamid Wani disappeared while the family members said that he had ventured outside the house and didnt return back.
The mysterious disappearance of the child sparked protest and shutdown while people blocked vehicular movement on Pahalgam-Anantnag road. All the shops and business establishments remained shut while thin vehicular movement was observed on the roads.
This was the second such incident when any kid disappeared in the district. Earlier, a kid from Seer Hamdan area disappeared mysteriously and even after the lapse of a month, his whereabouts is unknown.
A top police official told CNS that a missing report has been lodged and investigation has been taken up to locate the missing kid. (CNS)
