JAMMU: Calling for close coordination among all security agencies to maintain continuous vigil on the activities of anti-national elements, Director General of Police (DGP), Mr. K. Rajendra Kumar has said that greater synergy among the security agencies is must for achieving desired results.
Rajendra was chairing a meeting of District Superintendents of Police, Additional Superintendents of Police and Deputy Superintendents of Police of South Kashmir Range at District Police Lines Pulwama today. The meeting was convened to review the security scenario and law & order situation in the districts of South Kashmir.
Rajendra said that safety and security of people is our prime concern and every effort of the anti-national elements to disrupt the peaceful atmosphere of State would be neutralizedfirmly. He said that JKP has faced various abnormal situations and the force with other security agencies has always ensure to avoid loss of lives and property of the common masses, while dealing the situations. He stressed upon the officers to maintain close coordination with their ranks and strengthen relations with the people to achieve better results.
DGP said that wholehearted cooperation of the people with the forces has helped in maintaining peace and these relations should be strengthened at all levels to foil the ill designs of law breakers. Community policing at the grass root level would enhance the police public relations and a patient hearing to their grievances would pay dividends in the form of their support in conducting result oriented policing.
Rajendra stressed upon the officers for effective domination in area based on analysis and joint patrolling be intensified to keep the activities of suspicious elements under surveillance. He stressed on focus on qualitative changes, keeping in mind the advancements on security front. While conducting counter insurgency operations, it should be ensured that common people are not harassed at any cost, said the DGP.
Rajendra sought reports from the concerned district officers present in the meeting about the achievements in various fronts of professional policing.
District Superintendents of Police of South Kashmir Range apprised the DGP about the security scenario, law and order, crime control, community policing and anti-militancy operation front through their power point presentations in their respective jurisdictions.
The meeting was attended by IGP Kashmir Zone, SJM Gillani, DIG SKR, Nitish Kumar, Senior Superintendents of Police, Abdul Jabar, Rayees Mohammad Bhat, Mohammad Arshad, Shailendra Kumar Mishra, Shridhar Patil, Mohammad Ashraf and other police officers of the Range.
