People suffer due to rise in Air Tariffs: Kashmir society


Srinagar: Kashmir Society on Monday said that all the Airlines including Air India, Jet Airlines, Go Air, Spice jet, Indigo are blackmailing state subjects of J&K state during closure of National Highway as well as taking undue benefit of tourist season by making ten times higher cost of the normal Srinagar-Jammu, Jammu-Srinagar, Srinagar-Delhi, Delhi-Srinagar Air tariffs.

In a statement issued to KNS, it has been brought in the notice of Kashmir Society by business community, Students Community and those whose Patients are admitted in different Hospitals in Delhi that Srinagar-Delhi ticket which has normal cost of seventeen hundreds only(1700) is being sold by these Airlines at 20,000 per ticket at present. “This is all open Black-marketing of these airlines against people of J&K,” Kashmir Society said.

They said that earlier one notorious Airliner Vijay Malia has looted J&K bank with Hundreds of Crores.

Kashmir Society shall be calling on Union Civil Aviation Minister to ensure that the state subjects of J&K should be able on basis of their Adhaar Cards and State subject cards get these tickets on constant Price of 1700/- only. “The tourists may not also be discouraged by such high fluctuating Air Tariffs,” they said.
