SRINAGAR: Two IT pass outs from the department of IT, Central University of Kashmir, Saqib A Kelu and Rafaqat Rasool, have developed an android application JKSSB Notifier that aims to help the aspirants to receive instant updates of Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board. The application has been developed in compliance with the services selection board.
Saqib while speaking to Kashmir Life said that they had a meeting in the office of JKSSB with its secretary SA Raina Raina in presence of Rakesh Gupta, Scientist NIC who is in-charge of the website for JKSSB on 25th January this year.
Rafaqat Rasool (Lead Developer) and Saqib A. Kelu (Co-Developer) presented the working of the android application and discussed its benefits.
The application as a platform presents an advantage to the users to quickly receive the notifications regarding employment, selections and exams from JKSSB. The users do not need to frequently visit the website for various updates, instead a push notification will be sent to their android smart phones after they install the application, Saqib said.
Presently the application provides only the notifications, however, further work will be carried on to develop a fully functional application in close coordination with National Informatics Centre, J&K state unit, he further said.
