Weathermen predict more rain, snow

The Western Disturbance is now lying over Jammu and Kashmir and adjoining areas. While, its induced cyclonic circulation is over Punjab and adjoining Rajasthan. Both the system will continue to move in east direction.

With this, Jammu and Kashmir will continue with fairly widespread light to moderate rain and snow with few isolated heavy spells on Friday. Himachal Pradesh will also get similar activity, while Uttarakhand will receive scattered rains only.

In plains, light rain is likely over North Punjab and Haryana. Delhi and West Uttar Pradesh may also see passing showers on Friday.

Meanwhile, the cyclonic circulation over Vidarbha and adjoining Telangana continues to persist. A North-south trough is extending from this system up to Tamil Nadu across interior parts of Karnataka and Rayalaseema region.

On Friday, we can expect isolated light rain all along the trough line that includes most parts of Peninsular India.

Moving to the Northeast India, a cyclonic circulation is lying over Meghalaya which is getting more marked due the moisture incursion from the anti-cyclonic circulation in Bay of Bengal. With this, we can expect light showers over Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh on Friday.
