‘Women immensely suffered in Kashmir’

Srinagar:  Senior APHC leaders including Islamic Political Party JK Chairman Muhammad Yousuf Naqash, Muslim Democratic League President Hakeem Abdul Rashid and Bilal Sidiqui Chairman Tehreek-e-Mazhmat in their joint statement have on eve of world women’s Day stated that while the world organizations and community are bragging on promoting women rights but in Kashmir those men in uniform who have ‘violated the honor of women’ have been bestowed with medals and incentives.

Leaders stated that women of Kashmir have been brutalized by Indian forces. The leaders observed that mothers are waiting for their disappeared sons, widows and half widows are in pain. The leaders said the manner in which nation of Kashmir especially its women made destitute and children orphaned is a question mark to voices of Humanity.

The leaders said just resolution of Kashmir dispute is the way ahead to solve the miseries of its women and it is responsibility of all sane voices to solve Kashmir according to wishes and aspirations of masses. (CNS)
