310843 quintal ration distributed in Kashmir in Feb: Div Com

SRINAGAR:  Divisional Commissioner Kashmir has informed that against an allocation of 3, 70000 quintals, 310843 quintals stands distributed among various categories in eight  fully NFSA- compliant  districts.

A population of 4206558 souls are covered under the priority category receiving food grains at Rs. 3 per kg against the earlier rate of Rs 10 and 6.50 per kg. While 2603558 souls covered under non-priority category shall receive food grains at Rs. 10 per kg. In all a total no of 6810115 souls against the population of 72 lakhs is covered under NFSA in Kashmir province there by giving a big relief to the poorest of the poor.
