KU wasting precious time of students

Srinagar: Due to callous attitude of University of Kashmir it takes over five years to complete three years course for thousands of students studying in different Degree Colleges affiliated with varsity.  Students from different Degree Colleges told CNS they took admission in respective colleges for 1st year in March 2015 and in March 2016 they are still in the same class. “We should have qualified the 1st year in 2015 Nov-Dec session but at that time we were asked to appear for 1st semester of 1st year. It’s March 2016 and we are still in the same class and our exams will be held in June-July 2016. This is grave injustice as it takes one and a half year to complete one year course and all but four and a half year to complete three years course,” the aggrieved students said.

They said that students who qualified Class 12th exams and are taking admission in Colleges for 1st year are sharing classes with them for the same course. “We fail to understand the policies of University of Kashmir,” they said and alleged that policy makers in Varsity are playing with the future of students.
