Kissan Goshti organised at village Bandwal in Akhnoor

JAMMU :Department of Agriculture, Zone Bamal organized a Field Day-cum-Kissan Goshti at village Bandwal of Panchayat Bandwal of Sub-Division Akhnoor under Pradhan Mantri Krishi Vikas Yojna (PMKVY) in which around 50 farmers participated.

AEO Bamal Harmohinder Singh, JAEO Neeraj Sharma, JAEO  Shivam Koul,  ReZ Shakti Sharma and other concerned officers were present on the occasion.

During the camp, farmers were made aware about the subsidies and incentives for available for the farmers under various schemes of Department like Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojna (PMKSY), National Mission on Sustainable Agriculture (NMSA), National Food Security Mission (NFSM) and salient features of Pradhan Mantri Fasal  Bhima Yojna (PMFBY) were also highlighted. The guidelines and pattern of assistance under various Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) and State Sector Schemes under implementation were also discussed at length.

Farmers were also made aware about symptoms and control measures of Yellow Rust Disease in Wheat Crop. They were advised to control Yellow Rust on campaign basis. On the occasion, farmers were also provided Propiconizol at subsidized rates.
