Detention of youth in Kunzar: Will be released after counseling: Police

Tangmarg: Regarding Kunzar Tangmarg incident, Police Thursday clarified the except few youth all have been released. SSP Baramulla told CNS that some youth had been picked up for questioning. Some of them were released while few youth who are still with police will be released after proper counseling so that in future they don’t indulge in subversive activities.

Pertinently the nocturnal raids and subsequent detention of four youths had sparked spontaneous shutdown in Kunzar Tangmarg area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday. Terming all the arrested youth as innocent the protesters identified them as Suhail Khalid Wani, Mudasir Rashid Sheikh, Obaid Nazir Najar and Waseem Ahmed Dar. (CNS)
