Srinagar:Jammu Kashmir Muslim League Saturday castigated State Administration for slapping Public Safety Act on one of its leaders Assadullah Parrey who was reportedly shifted to Udhampur from Sub Jail Baramulla.

Assadullah Parrey who is the District president of incarcerated Masrat Aalam led Muslim League for Bandipora was arrested last year for his alleged involvement in anti-India activities. “His first PSA was quashed by a local court, however, police rearrested him and lodged him in Udhampur Jail. He was then shifted to Reasi Jail from where he was lodged in JIC Humhama, then in Hajin and Sub-Jail Baramulla,” spokesperson Muslim League Muhamamd Rafiq Ganaie told CNS adding that authorities now again booked him under draconian PSA and shifted him to Udhampur Jail.

“Scores of our leaders have already been put behind the bar that include Masrat Aalam, Hakim Showkat, Manzoor Lelhari, Pir Abdul Majid, Mehrajuddin Nanda, Mehrajuddin Gojri, Molvi Sajad and others,” he said. (CNS)
