BARAMULLA: Stressing on up-scaling skill development programmes and providing insurance facilities through financial institutions, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Dr. Asgar Samoon today highlighted the need for introducing market oriented skill development courses in Kashmir valley.
The Divisional Commissioner was speaking after inaugurating a MAST center at ITI Pattan. District Development Commissioner, Yasha
Mudgal, SSP Baramulla, Imtiyaz Hussain, SDM Pattan, Deputy Director Technical Education, Principal ITI and other officers were present on this occasion.
Dr Samoon stressed on enhancing employability of youth and said that financial institutions should also be roped in so that hassle free credit is made available to youth under the skill development programme. He also highlighted the need to enhance quality of education in schools and technical institutions in the state.
DDC Baramulla, Yasha Mudgal speaking on the occasion, called for introducing parallel counseling, so that the youth are provided information about the way forward after receiving skill development training.
