Srinagar:- BJP leader and Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Speaker Kavinder Gupta today hailed former state Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed for taking steps to develop Jammu as an independent tourist destination but rued that after his demise, the process has come to a halt.
“Mufti Mohammad Sayeed was keen to develop Jammu as an independent tourist destination and had taken several initiatives in the direction. But because of his sudden demise, the process has come to a halt for sometime,” Gupta said, adding he is hopeful Jammu will find its place on the tourist map of the country to realise Sayeed’s dream.
Jammu and Kashmir’s scenic beauty offers unique experience to visitors, who want to spend time in the lap of nature, he added.
