Grenade attack at CRPF in Bijbehara

Srinagar:  A CRPF party of 90 BT was attacked by suspected militants in Arwani Bijbehara of south Kashmir.

According to sources, army and CRPF had cordoned the village over the information of presence of militants. However cordon was called off when no militant presence was found.

“Soon after, when CRPF party returned a hand grenade was lobbed in which three CRPF men including a sub inspector was injured,” said a police official.

The injured has been shifted to hospital, where doctors said that they are stable.

The Injured SI has been identified as Bradan from 90 Battalion of CRPF.
