Anantnag Feb3:- Anantnag police seems to have utterly failed to curb the growing thefts in district as the graph is growing day by day and burglars are giving sleepless nights to people of Anantnag.
Though, police claimed of having activated new nakas besides lifting of suspects to douse the simmering anger brewing among the people and the victims of thefts, but all this is in vain. Residents allege that police has failed to crack down on burglars which have occurred recently in the village at Bona Dialgam Anantnag. Here burglars have stolen four cows and five calves of two households of Gh Nabi Bhat s/o Mohammad Akbar Bhat and Mohammad Yousuf Wani s/o Ahsan Wani.
The gangs of thieves is all set to put police on its heels as they targeted some cow sheds in different places of Anantnag during last few weeks.
Reports from Hakura, Paalpora, Damhal, Khoshipora also said about burglars decamping with several cows.
Police says it has registered several cases but admit they are still clueless about the thieves.
