DC Anantnag reviews progress on implementation of Pahalgam Master Plan

ANANTNAG: The Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Mr. Muneer Ul Islam today chaired a high level meeting of concerned officers to review the progress on the implementation of Pahalgam Master Plan.

The meeting was attended by SDM Pahalgam Nisar Ahmad Dalal, DFO Lidder, DFO Demarcation, DFO Wildlife, concerned Tehsildars besides officers of other departments.

The Deputy Commissioner said that Pahalgam Master Plan envisages to make Pahalgam more attractive by developing the picturesque hill resort on modern lines of development. He said that the Pahalgam Master Plan is a comprehensive document, demarcating areas viable for any kind of developmental activity which will serve all the executives wings of the concerned departments.

Stressing on the officers of Revenue and Forest departments to expedite the process of demarcating the boundary lines between the records of the two departments, the Deputy Commissioner said that any future plans in the area will commence as per the official maps and records. He directed the concerned DFOs and Tehsildars to incorporate suggestions so that the Master Plan implementation proceeds with the directions of Court.

Calling for a collaborative approach between the departments and removal of bottlenecks, the Deputy Commissioner asked the officers to expedite the process of incorporation of changes as per the Court orders so that the Master Plan is ready to be implemented on time.
