67 employees face suspension

SRINAGAR: At least 67 government employees were suspended by Sub-Divisional Magistrate Tral for remaining absent from their official duties.

Reports said that SDM Tral Reyaz Ahmed Malik visited different government offices including Municipality, Irrigation, Forest, and Power Development Department.

“We had been receiving complaints from the people that they don’t find employees in their offices. Acting upon these complaints we visited all but 12 government offices,” Reyaz said.

“It was shocking to see most of the official absent from their duties. Suspension orders were issued on spot to 67 employees,” Reyaz Ahmed.
