SRINAGAR: The results of class 1oth and 12th will be announced shortly by the Jammu & Kashmir Board of School Education (BOSE). The chairman of the education body Z A Chatt assured that his government will adhere to the 45 day deadline imposed on the board. The results for Class 10th will be made public within the next 8 days, whereas the class 12th results will be out within 15 days.
I am sure we will meet the deadline of 45 days and declare the results in the prescribed period of time, Chatt said. On being asked about a specific date, he replied that the board is likely to list the Class 10 results by January 12.
Approximately 60,000 students appeared in the exams which were conducted between the period of November 9 to December 5, 2015. Around 115 students were disqualified for using unfair means in the examination.
In a major reformatory move, BOSE chairman also announced that the photocopy of marksheets will be provided to students online rather than going through tedious paperwork at the board office. Now Xerox of answer papers would be click away for the students who would be declared fail or have doubt on our evaluation. They need not to come to our office but can apply online for it and forms for re-evaluation are also available on our website as well, Chatt was quoted as having said.
