SAMBA: Minister for Industries and Commerce Chander Prakash Ganga has extended New Year greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir and prayed for prosperity, communal harmony and peace in the state.
The Minister greeted the people after inaugurating lane & drain at ward no 1 in Bari Brahmana constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 6.25 lakh. He also kick started the lane and drain work at ward no 2 amounting to Rs 2 lakh to be executed by Municipal Committee Bari Brahmana.
While speaking on the occasion, Ganga said that the coalition government is working on the agenda of development and is committed to provide basic amenities to the people of state.
Highlighting efforts of the government in providing better infrastructure to the people, Ganga said that in a short period of time, the government has initiated various developmental works, while as many have been completed.
The Minister said that the coalition Government is making concerted efforts to provide better road connectivity especially in rural areas of the state.
Maintaining, the Minister said that the government is committed to weed out the menace of corruption from the system, he added that there shall be no compromise on corrupt practices and urged people to work together to eradicate corruption from the society.
Among others, concerned officers and local residents of the area were present on the occasion.
