Srinagar: A meeting of Employees Coordination Committee (ECC) Civil Secretariat was today held under the chairmanship of Jammu Kashmir Civil Secretariat Non-Gazetted Employees Union president, Ghulam Rasool Mir.
The meeting was attended by others including Lower Grade Union president, Maqbool Hussain to discuss and deliberate upon the issues pertaining to welfare of the Civil Secretariat employees.
According to a statement, both the unions representatives prayed for early recovery of the Chief Minister Mufti Muhammad Sayeed who is under treatment in AIIMS in New Delhi.
During the last token strike, it was decided that a new programme will be conveyed to the employees after 31st of December 2015, but due to ill health of Chief Minister, the Coordination Committee decided to defer the said programme for a time being.
The Coordination Committee also welcomed the decision of the government especially Finance Minister for inviting the Union in pre-Budget Discussion 2016 scheduled to be held on 3rd January 2016.
During the course of Discussion in the meeting, the Employees Coordination Committee Civil Secretariat observed that government is still adopting delay tactics n casual approach in resolving employees issues, read the statement.
The President JKCSNGEU Ghulam Rasool Mir once again requested to Government to resolve all pending issues as projected by the Union from time to time within shortest time to avoid confrontation/ agitation.
