Traffic mishaps claim life, injure 6

SRINAGAR:  One person died while six others were injured in different road accidents across the valley.

According to a police communiqué,  an unknown vehicle hit a cyclist identified as Aamir Ahmad Sheikh resident of Watlar at Bypass Benhama Lar, resulting in his in spot death. Ganderbal police has registered a case in this regard.

Meanwhile, an Alto 800 bearing registration number JK04/9426 and Tata Mobile vehicle bearing registration number JK04B/9631 met with an accident near Check Pohru, Nowgam, resulting in injuries to person boarding the Alto car. 

A Bolero vehicle bearing registration number JK02A-3553 hit and injured a pedestrian Ghulam Mohammad Dar resident of Hajan Sumbal at Mirgund, Parimpora.   

 In Awantipora, an Auto load Carrier bearing registration number JK13B/1916 turned turtle at Kadlabal Charsoo, resulting in injuries to its driver Rayees Ahmad. Injured was shifted to Hospital for treatment. Awantipora police has registered a case in this regard.

Meanwhile, a motorcycle bearing registration number JK01P-2176 hit and injured a pedestrian Mohammad Yousuf Bhat resident of Bumhama Kupwara near SMHS Hospital. In the accident, the motorcyclist was also injured. Both the injured have been shifted to the Hospital for treatment. Srinagar police has registered cases regarding these accidents.
