JAMMU-Managing Director Jammu and Kashmir State Womens Development Corporation (JKWDC) Dr. Naheed Soz today said that corporation provided genuine products to the buyers without exploitation of the middlemen adding that for this purpose, the corporation has launched various welfare schemes under the sector so that the buyers could avail full benefits.
She said this at the concluding day of 10-day long Exhibition Cum-Sale at Kala Kendra at Gandjhi Nagar, here today. The Exhibition commenced from November 14 to November 23, 2015.
She said the Exhibition-cum-Sale was aimed to provide market support to the Self-Help Groups beneficiaries.
She said along with the customers, the expo will also be beneficial for the weavers as they can receive ideas regarding design patterns and colour combinations here besides with the direct contact between weavers.
About 80 different stalls were set up in the exhibition.
