Kashmir freedom struggle is indigenous: TeM

Srinagar — Militant outfit Tehreek-ul-Mujhadeen Saturday alleged that India has been trying to defame the Kashmir Freedom Struggle by linking it to ‘ISIS’ and ‘Al-Qaida’.

The outfit said that there is “no scope” for al Qaeda and ISIS in Jammu and Kashmir.

“Ours is a local and indigenous struggle so, the Government of India wants to kill our youth and defame our sacred struggle in the name of Al-Qaida and ISIS, and that is why they are creating such an environment in Kashmir,” Secretary General United Jihad Council and Amir TeM Sheikh Jamil-ur-Rehman told CNS in a statement.

“In a bid to show the presence of Al-Qaida and ISIS in Kashmir Valley, India has been spreading rumours and lies. India wants to resort to genocide of Kashmiri people. It is condemnable to link our indigenous struggle with any International Movement. The militants of Kashmir have no world ambitions and our sole objective is to force India to resolve Kashmir issue in the shade of UN Resolutions,” Amir TeM said.
