Srinagar: Barely after three days of her release from the prison, Jammu Kashmir Government again arrested Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) Chief Syedah Aasiya Andrabi during a late night Friday raid from her Soura residence.
General Secretary DeM, Nahida Nasreen told CNS that Andrabi and her close associate Fehmeeda Sofi were taken into custody and lodged at Rambagh police station. Police refused to give reasons behind the detention of the DeM Chief, she added.
Nasreen while expressing anguish over the repeated detention of Andrabi said that DeM chief has been suffering from many ailments and she needs regular check-ups.
Meanwhile, High Court Bar Association condemned the re-arrest of Syedah Aaisya Andrabi. Bashir Sidiq, General Secretary Bar Association said that during the Executive Members meeting, it was impressed upon all to join hands and devise a strategy to defeat the designs of Government of India and its stooges in the state who harass and imprison freedom loving people to break their resolve.
