Srinagar: Chief Judicial Magistrate Budgam, Imtiyaz Ahmed Lone Monday awarded three years rigorous imprisonment with fine of Rs 50000 to driver of Sumo Ghulam Muhammad Dar, a resident of Ichgam Budgam who was facing trial for the last more than six years in a accident case in which one civilain was died.
Court, after hearing both the sides, convicted and sentenced the accused to rigorous imprisonment for a period of three years with Rs 50000 as fine.
Ghulam Muhammad Dar the driver of the Sumo (JK01A-7319) had crushed Ali Muhammad Wani son of Ghulam Hasan of Zorigund Budgam to death in 2009. Police had registered a case under section 279/427/304-A RPC and challan was presented in the court of law.
